About
Children of Don Alonzo was created in response to a growing need to know how Black Americans came to be in the Americas. Many Black Americans have been seeking more than a general knowledge of familial ties to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, for example, and desire more intimate knowledge of the system as a whole. Children of Don Alonzo aims to make historical data and information more accessible to Black Americans whose histories intersect with the Trans-Saharan, Barbary Coast or Transatlantic Slave Trade and the forming of the United States.

We provide instruction, research techniques, and guidance to groups and individuals interested in the whole picture of oneself or associated groupings. We also provide access to historical data to underrepresented and disenfranchised groups that are barred from access due to a lack of financial resources. As historical consultants, our objective is to provide needed research assistance, verification of historical data, interpretation, and preservation.
